death can be the most traumatic event of our lives. It is common to have
feelings of anger or guilt or sometimes no feelings at all. Whatever you
might be feeling, we offer a variety of services that you may find helpful
in coping with your loss.
Pathfinders
An aftercare newsletter providing practical information, caring and
comforting thoughts plus useful advice to help people deal with bereavement
issues.
On Site Information
One way of coping with grief is to learn about it. We have books and
pamphlets on site that are available to families.
Support Groups
Support groups provide a safe and relaxed environment in which to
share your feelings and experiences with others that have experienced
a loss.
Circle of Friends Bereavement Support and Education Group
Meetings are held each month as follows:
Second Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. and the Fourth Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
Center for Counseling Services and pastoral Care
600 Ridgewood Avenue (Lower level of red brick house on the corner of
Ridgewood and Cecil Streets, across from the outpatient entrance of Memorial
Hospital. Enter the building at the driveway on the right side.)
The Bereavement Group is a free service of the Center for Grief and Loss
at Memorial Hospital.
